Europa League: Troost-Ekong Eager To Face Former Club, Tottenham
Super Eagles defender, William Troost-Ekong, says he is looking forward to meeting his former club, Tottenham Hotspur when they face Gent in the round of 32 of the UEFA Europa League,
According to Monday's draw held in Nyon, Switzerland, Gent will host Tottenham Hotspur in the first leg of their Round of 32 clash in the Europa League.
Troost-Ekong, who was on loan to Norwegian side Haugesund before going back to parent club Gent in November, featured for Tottenham at youth level but never played in the first team.
Reacting to the pairing, Ekong wrote on his twitter handle: "Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa league draw. Couldn't be better than against my old team! #UEL #GNTTOT."
Since moving back to Belgium, Troost-Ekong is yet to make any appearance for Gent.
