Arsenal midfielder Francis Coquelin has tipped Nigeria forward Alex Iwobi to shine in 2017.

Iwobi has made 16 Premier League appearances, scoring two goals so far. He was on target against Stoke City and Crystal Palace.

Also, he has featured in this season's UEFA Champions League (scoring one goal) and English Football League Cup.

Commenting on players who may likely impress this year Coquelin, who sustained a hamstring injury in Arsenal's 3-3 away draw against Bournemouth on Tuesday night, however advised Iwobi to add goal scoring to his game.

“Alex had his breakthrough season but this year he can confirm it even more,” Coquelin told Arsenal Player on arsenal.com.

“I really like the way he plays. He’s got technique and quick passing.

"The only thing he needs to add now is goals and he will be a complete player, but he’s a player I really like. 2017 can be his year.”
