'Nothing for El Kanemi at Warriors'
Abia Warriors attacking midfielder, Ifeanyi Onyeali has asked their former head coach, Ladan Bosso to look outside the Umuahia Warriors’ enclave for the highly sought away win in the on-going top-flight.
The Umuahia Warriors are hosts of El Kanemi Warriors in Sunday’s Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) matchday 9 clash at the Umuahia Township Stadium.
Onyeali said his side are not in the mood to further throw away any points on home soil to any opponents no matter the pedigree of the team.
“The clash against El Kanemi Warriors will not be a pushover as the Maiduguri side are handled by our former coach, Ladan Bosso.
“El Kanemi Warriors will come with confidence that their head coach, Bosso knows us inside out but we have a shock treat for them.
“We heard that coach Bosso has charged his wards to replicate their 100% record on home ground at away matches.
“We will warmly welcome our former coach, Bosso to his former abode but treat him and side as mere tourists.
“We will win convincingly to take our three points to shore up our fortune on the league log.
“We have not done quite well in the last two matches, we drew at home against Sunshine Stars while we lost heavily at Nasarawa United.
“We must start to recover the lost points as quickly as possible,” said the former Bussdor United goal poacher to supersport.com.
Abia Warriors are 7th on the 20-team top-flight on 11 points six behind league leaders, Plateau United.
